Frequently Asked Questions

Do these labels work with both dye and pigment inks?

Yes. All options are designed to print cleanly with either dye or pigment systems.

Which materials are best for water resistant labels?

Polypropylene films such as Matte BOPP, High Gloss BOPP, Premium High Gloss BOPP,
Extreme Tack BOPP, and BS5609 BOPP offer the best water resistance.

Can I use specialty materials like holographic or metallic films?

Absolutely! Specialty films in our catalog such as Smooth Silver Holographic, Silver BOPP, and Gold Hybrid PET all print well across Epson ColorWorks printers.

Just note that inkjet-based printers typically do not print opaque colors or back them with white, so you may see a semi-translucent “stained glass” effect. Contact us for sample rolls if you want to test

Do you offer removable label options?

We offer removable adhesives on both film and paper options, including Removable High Gloss BOPP and Removable High Gloss Paper

Will these rolls feed correctly in my Epson ColorWorks printer?

Of course! All rolls are manufactured to match Epson ColorWorks core sizes and roll handling specifications for consistent feeding and alignment.

Are any of these options certified for harsh or marine environments?

Yes. Our Matte White BOPP with BS5609 Section 2 certification is suitable for harsh and marine
environments. However, it’s important to clarify what that means:
BS5609 certification tests for 90 days of saltwater immersion, abrasion, and UV
exposure.
Because of this, BS5609-certified materials are typically considered appropriate for
short-term marine or chemical drum applications, not indefinite long-term outdoor exposure.

If you need something with better long-term durability, especially for extended outdoor use,
Kimdura® (a matte synthetic/polypropylene material) is often preferred. It offers greater resistance to water, chemicals, and tearing compared to standard BOPP and is widely used for GHS labeling and other demanding environments.
